Tintin is a character recognized all over the world and in 2009, his adventures will be brought to the big screen. Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson, two very popular film directors, will collaborate to turn the Tintin cartoon into a trilogy of movies.
For anyone not familiar with the story, Tintin is a reporter who is joined by Snowy (the dog), Captain Haddock, Professor Calculus and the twins Thompson and Thomson as he travels the world in search of interesting news to report. This job often leads him into life-threatening situations.
For the film, it has been decided that Tintin will be transformed from a 2D character into a 3D character. Both directors feel that this move will give the traditional comic book style Tintin a more modern look.
